Cleopatra Newton-Sims

She was born in Naples, Texas on September 8, 1932 to Grady Newton and Vela Mae Jones.  She died Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Pittsburg, Texas.  She was a member of the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where she served as mission president.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, stepfather Willie Sheppard and brother Melvin Bonner.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her sister Judith Holley of Naples, Texas; her nieces Kim Bonner, Michelle Bonner, Tanyaka Holley, Andrea Portley, Kandrea Veasley, Denise Holley, Lavett Holley, Shavet Holley, Shatarra Bonner, Brittanie Jones; nephews Kaneious Hollomon, Chris Bonner, Diondre Holley; special cousins Gussie Hill, Jeri Chism, Joyce Betts, Alice Black, John L. Betts, Jr.,   and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
