George Davis Black, Jr. was born April 15, 1954 in Pittsburg, Texas to George Davis Black, Sr. and Will Ella (Young) Black.  He passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

George was a member of Omaha First Baptist Church, Omaha, Texas and he was graduate of Paul Pewitt High School, Naples, Texas.  He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked many years in Maintenance and was a self-employed contractor.

 He was preceded in death by his parents George Davis Black, Sr. and Will Ella White and two sisters Veretta Black and Beverly Black.

 He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Tumekia Black and Lavenya Betts Black both of Naples, Texas; seven grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law Gwendolyn and Charlie Tarver of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; two brothers Jimmy Black of Naples, Texas and Mickey Black of DeKalb, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
