Glenny Joe McGill was born October 23, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Billy Joe and Elizabeth Ann (Spencer) McGill.  He passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Mt. Pleasant.

He attended and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1977 and was a member of the Greater Hope Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Glenny was employed for many years at Lone Star Steel Company.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends and bringing joy to others.  He was known in the community for always lending a helping hand.  He was committed to taking care of others.

Glenny was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Craddock, his mother and father, his son Dexter McGill, his brothers Bernard McGill and Angelo McGill, his sister Billie Gail McFarland. 

He leaves to cherish his memories and to celebrate his life his three sisters and brothers-in-law Whalyn and Dwight Payne, Laura and Jimmy Newton all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Yvette and Marco Ragins of Atlanta, GA; his brother and sister-in-law Tracy Jon and Sadie McGill of Fairbanks, AK; his special aunt Dorothy Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
