Jodie B. Luster, Sr.

Mr. Luster died Friday, April 28, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.    He was born in Pittsburg, Texas on February 12, 1941 to Lela Luster.

He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Mt. Pleasant and worked at American Petrofina for many years before retiring.  He enjoyed refinishing wood.  He was a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lela Luster, his two sons Danny Elliott and Tilford Sheppard, his uncle Roy Lee Luster.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 50 years Lillie Luster of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; four sons and two daughters-in-law James Sheppard, Joey and Sherry Luster all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Ralston and Rasha Luster of Mesquite, Texas; Quitman Luster of Mt. Pleasant, Texas;  three daughters and two sons-in-law Sheila and Harold Lewis, Patricia and Johnny Brooks, Thelma Monroe all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his cousins John Arthur and Verdell Luster of Dallas, Texas; David and Dorine Neal of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Vernell Jenkins of Cason, Texas; best friend Robelia Patsy Allen of Mt. Pleasant, special friends Johnny Floyd Bell of Pittsburg and Wilbur (Hoss) McGill and family of Mt. Pleasant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
