John Henry Elliott, 80, passed away, at home, on Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

Mr.  Elliott was born May 19, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Abbie and Claudia M. (Craddock) Elliott.  He met and married Lois Fleming Elliott on February 18, 1952.   He was a member of the Sheppard Street Church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant.  Mr. Elliott retired from Lone Star Steel Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son John C. Elliott, his daughters Virginia Nell Elliott, Rhonda Thompson and Lynetta Titus, sisters Candassia Minter, Clara M. Beard, Letha Fomby, Florine Lewis, Mary Brown, brothers Billy V. Elliott, David Elliott, Aubrey Elliott.

He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, his wife of 61 years, Lois Elliott of  Mt. Pleasant, Texas; four daughters and three sons-in-law Debra and Kenneth Hannible of Dallas, Texas; Brenda and Rickey Woodson of Mt. Pleasant, Belinda Peoples of Dallas, Texas; Felisha and Michael Davis of Lancaster, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony C. and Kimburley Elliott, Gary D. Elliott all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; one sister Ruthenia Moore of Longview, Texas; and a host of  nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
