Margaret R. (Craddock) Byrd was born January 20, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Talmadge and Minnie (Mondy) Craddock.  She passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, June 25, 2016.

Margaret grew up in Mt. Pleasant and attended Piney Creek Baptist Church.  She later became a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Bereans Church, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. 

She was graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Mt. Pleasant and after graduation, Margaret moved to Eloy, AZ where she met and later married L.C. Byrd on June 1, 1970.  She was fondly called “Shutha” by her family.

She worked at the Sewing Manufacturing Company for years and then at the Arizona State Training Center in Coolidge, AZ.  They moved back to Mt. Pleasant where she retired as a CNA from Titus Regional Medical Center, after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, two brothers John L. Craddock and Talmadge Craddock, Jr., four sisters Dorothy Pearl Craddock, Vera Craddock, Bobbie Jean Craddock and Beaula Butler.

 She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 46 years L.C. Byrd and her granddaughter Ethel Mae Smith both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; three brothers and seven sisters-in-law Robert Sr. and Claudia Craddock, Donald Sr. and Rylva Craddock, Kenneth and Lolita Craddock all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Mattie Byrd of Eloy, AZ; Geraldine Craddock of Daingerfield, TX; Rosie Andrew of Carson, CA; Narvell Owens of Earlimart, CA; seven sisters and seven brothers-in-law Emma Willis of Fairfield, Texas; Allie and Eugene Brannon of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Edna Adams of Dallas, Texas; Joyce and Edward Moore, Sr. of De Soto, Texas; Carolyn Turner (Stanley), Rita Marshall, Vernetha Green (Martin) all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; R.C. Byrd of Connecticut; Jesse Byrd of Phoenix, AZ; Isado Byrd of Ceres, CA; two uncles  I.Z. Craddock and Moses Craddock both of Dallas, Texas; one aunt Flodia Mae Dansby of Phoenix, AZ; two special nephews Johnny Smith of Eloy, AZ; Roger Brannon, Sr. and a special niece Lena Hall both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
