Tammy Denise Jordan

Tammy was born in Mt. Vernon, Texas on September 11, 1978 to Dennis Jordan, Sr. and Dorris (Wright) Jordan.   She passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017.

She attended St. Stephen A.M.E. Church, Pittsburg from an early age.  Tammy was 1997 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School where she received numerous trophies and awards in sports and academics.  She was a member of the National Honor Society.  Her love for sports started when she was 9 years old.  She participated in softball, track and was a member of the Going Gold Tiger Band having played Alto Sax.  She had a passion for basketball, track and softball where she served as a pitcher receiving the City Championship trophy.  She earned many honors for her effort and hard work.  After graduation, Tammy worked for El Chico and was currently employed with Titus Regional Medical Center as a Unit Clerk in the Emergency Room.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Jordan, Sr., her paternal and maternal grandparents.

She is survived by her husband Jackie Rogers of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her son Trey Rogers; her daughter Tiffany Jordan both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her mother Dorris Montgomery of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers Dennis (D.J.) of Dallas; Roderick of Pittsburg, Texas; sister Denise of Grand Prairie, Texas; aunts Rose Finnie, Lou Finnie, Bobbie Roland, Darlene Kendrick all of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Vivian Kelly of Pittsburg, Patricia Douglas of Dallas; uncles Weldon Wright and Melvin Wright of Sulphur Springs, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, special co workers and friends.
