Wilbert Ray Rundles was born May 22, 1942 in the White Oak Community of Mt. Pleasant Texas to Margie Rundles Pitts and Morris Hurndon. He passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016.   Wilbert was graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1960 and was a member of the Greater Hope Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant.  He loved watching football. He also loved watching Westerns and the Price Is Right and watched it every day. He worked many years at the East Texas Packing House and the Mink House, Lesco Trucking Company and retired in 2007 after 20 years of service from the City of Mt. Pleasant. He also worked in the hay field.  Wilbert was a very friendly person and never met a stranger.  He was fondly known by all as Chilly Willy and Gaither.  He loved his family and their well being was constantly on his mind. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Margie Rundles-Pitts, Morris Hurndon, his brother Max Tracy Hurndon, his grandparents who raised him Nazareth and Queenie (Bogan) Rundles, grandparents Preston and Eppie (Gholston) Hurndon, his aunts Lady Bell Rundles-Mangram, Rabell Rundles-Birl, Clytie Rundles-Gilliam, Emma Wheeler, Anna Parker; uncles Lucy B. Rundles and George Hurndon.

He leaves to cherish his memory and to celebrate his life his wife of   53 years  Nona Ann (Smith) Rundles  of  Mt. Pleasant, Texas; two sons and two daughters-in-law Francis A. and Lillie Rundles; Damian and Shanell Rundles all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; three daughters Felicia Rundles, Franchesca Rundles, Nicoletta Rundles all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; five grand daughters and two grandsons-in-law  Ashley and Delvin McQueen of Grand Prairie, Texas; Toni Rundles of Carrollton, Texas; Futemia Rundles, Anastasia and Kirk Bolton, and Da’Nayla Rundles all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; two grandsons and one grand daughter-in-law Sean and Chassie Rundles,   Damani Rundles; nine great grandchildren Brooklyn, Kiara, Rihanna, Amaya, Khloe, Khiya, Keegan, Kyron and Princess; one brother and sister-in-law  Refus R. and Angela Rundles of Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law Mattie and George Johnson; Beverly and John Hargrave all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; five aunts Julia Lewis and Helen Evans of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Serelda Peoples and Murlene Scales of Barstow, CA; Bebbie Jones of Los Angeles, CA; brothers and sisters-in-law James and Hattie Smith of Dallas, Texas; Tommy Smith, Bobby Smith, Ruthie and W. J. Linwood, Cheryl Smith all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; John Mark and Sylvia Smith of Omaha, Texas; Lillie Smith of Childress, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
