William Simpson, Sr. was born May 14, 1956 in Fulbright, Texas to Louis L. and Levella (Taylor) Simpson.  He passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016.

Mr. Simpson graduated from Rivercrest High School in 1974.  He married his love, Tequila Diann (Palmer) Simpson, on July 31, 1999.  He was a Baptist and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church of Fulbright and later joined the Kingdom Covenant Connection Church, Mt. Pleasant, where he served as Deacon,  under the leadership of Pastor Sedaric Dinkens.  He worked as a Die Setter for U.S. Steel and devoted 23 years of service to them.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers Louis Simpson and Joe L. Simpson, a sister Katherine Simpson, sister-in-law Thelma Simpson.

He leaves to cherish his memories and to celebrate his life his wife of  17 years Tequila Diann Palmer Simpson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one daughter Valerie Simpson of North Carolina; three sons and two daughters-in-law William Simpson, Jr. of Arlington, Texas, Darren Mondrell and Stephanie Palmer of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Sheridan Muntrell and Kandi Nixon of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren Arie Palmer, Quincy Simpson, Zion Palmer, Laiklyn Epps, Eli Mapps; four sisters Vella Mae Scales of Fulbright, Texas, Shirley Barr of Clarksville, Texas, Bernice Mays of Paris, Texas, Darlene Mondane of Fulbright, Texas; two brothers and two sisters-in-law Jerry Simpson of Fulbright, Texas, Willie Simpson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Ann Simpson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one aunt Hattie Love of Bagwell, Texas; mother and father-in-law Mae Lois and Charles Sowells of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Kimburley and Anthony Elliott of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Charlotte and Aris Bartee of Frisco, Texas,  Allen Palmer of Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
