Willie D. Harris was born in New Boston, Texas on January 16, 1921 to William and Cora (Addison) Harris. Mr. Harris died March 1, 2017 in Stockbridge, GA.
He was a member of Omaha First Baptist Church, Omaha, Texas where he was Chairman of the Deacon Board and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the American Legion and a World War II Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and his siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 75 years Jimmie Mae Harris of Stockbridge, Georgia; two daughters Delores Arnold of Stockbridge, Georgia and Joyce Bonner of Detroit, Michigan; a niece raised as a daughter Renee Campbell of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren Stephen Bonner and his wife Lisa and their children Bryanna, Brandy of Detroit, Michigan, Bryan Arnold and his wife Nina and their children Bryttanny Arnold, Nia, Tavia all of Edgewood, Maryland, Ingrid Beneford and her husband DeShawn and their children DeShawn Beneford, Jr., of Edgewood, Maryland, Antonio Tate, Chantanece Tate all of Detroit, Michigan, Curtia Taylor and her husband Andre’ and their children Sydney Taylor, Peyton Taylor all of Stockbridge, GA, Curtina Smith and her husband Pernell and their daughter Jayla Smith of Washington, DC; one great-great grand daughter Kayla Reynolds of Edgewood, Maryland and three great-great grandsons Christian Eason (the man), Adonis Larkin both of Detroit, Michigan, Xavier of Edgewood, Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
