Obituary

Willie Yvonne Robinson was born July 23, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  She was born Willie Yvonne Hughes to Margaret Hughes and Clarence Jacobs.  Later the parental duties were given to Leona and Herman McGuire, who proudly raised her as their own. 

On June 6, 1953, she met and married James “Duck” Robinson.  To this union, James Reginald and Herman Dwayne were born.  

Yvonne was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1951 and a member of the Cottrell Chapel C.M.E. Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas where she was an usher and choir member.  Before retiring, she was a Custodian for Mt. Pleasant ISD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Robinson, one step son Willie Rogers.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons and a daughter-in-law Herman and Lena Robinson of Grand Prairie, Texas; James Reginald Robinson of Montgomery, Alabama; four grandchildren   Tiara Robinson, Zipporah Robinson, La Tonya Lee and Kisha Scroggins; seven great grandchildren; one sister Cynthia Guerera of Cincinnati, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
