Remembering Her Life
Vanessa G. Norman Newton was born August 8, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Roy and Ruby Lorine (Ivory) Norman.
At an early age, Vanessa attended the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Mt. Pleasant under the leadership of the late Bishop L.K. McGill. She attended the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools. Vanessa loved interior decorating, and had a green thumb for growing all plants and flowers. She was a great cook and made the best oven baked barbeque oxtails. She was funny and very loving.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, three brothers Calvin Norman, John Norman Sr., Eddie J. Norman; two sisters Lillie Norman Gilliam and Rose Norman Hernandez.
Vanessa leaves to cherish her memories her children Mack Newton, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Adreion Newton and Markesha Haynes both of Hobbs, NM; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; one brother Roy Dean Norman of Las Vegas, NV; five sisters Georgia Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Janice Teycer of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Darla Black of Arizona, Debbie Norman of Dallas, Texas, Sarah Norman of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
