Alice Ann (Chambers) Simmons

Alice Ann Chambers Simmons, was born February 3, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant Texas to Ollie Mae Chambers and Joseph Smith. She died, Monday, March 18, 2019.

Alice was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church but later became a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ.  She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School Class of 1973.  She was a member of the former Elite Club, Mt. Pleasant.  Alice was a loving wife, mother and Gi Gi. 

She was preceded in death by her son Melvin Tramaine Simmons; her parents; sister Queenie Louise Chambers. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 43 years Melvin Simmons; son Kieston Simmons; five grandchildren Ja’cori Denmark, Jalena Simmons, Madeline Simmons, William Tumey, Jazlyn Simmons; one great grandson Jaxon; stepmother Doris Smith of Dallas; her sisters Eria Yvonne Craddock, Eula Mae Chambers all of Mt. Pleasant, brothers Victor Smith and Will Smith both of Dallas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Viola Jackson, Alene and Edward Minnick all of Tyler, Texas, Darlene and Earnest Davis of Pittsburg, Levon and Annie Simmons of Dayton, OH; Leon and Bettye Simmons of Kansas City, MO, Earris Simmons of Kerens, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends Dorothy Hurndon, Sandra Fleming both of Mt. Pleasant; Van Cheryl Ross of Dallas; other relatives and friends.
