Angelica P. Beard

Angelica was born at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC on April 10, 1986 to Troy and Vivianna (Manning) DeCohen.  

She was a graduate of A. Phillip Randolph High School in New York and also Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas and Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas.  She was a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  Angelica was a member of the Mt. Vernon Heights Congregational Church in Mt. Vernon, NY and the Sheppard Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  She met and married Anterius DeVodd Beard, Sr. and to this union twins were born, Terrance and Terrelle.  She was currently employed with the Mt. Pleasant Independent School District where she was the Physical Education Teacher at Corprew Elementary School and was the Mt. Pleasant High School Girls Track Coach. 

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Thelma Reid and Cardigan Clarke and paternal grandmother Eunice DeCohen.

Angelica was full of life and loved by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memories and to celebrate her life, her husband Anterius D. Beard, Sr.; her children Terrance Beard and Terrelle Beard, Anterius D. Beard, Jr., Paris Beard all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her parents Vivianna and Troy DeCohen of Mt. Vernon, NY; two sisters and a brother-in-law Chanelle and Charles Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA, Micaela DeCohen of Mt. Vernon, New York, her spiritual sisters Mia McGrew of Ft. Worth, Texas and Juliet Holman of Mt. Vernon, New York; her brother and sister-in-law Christopher and Paulina Reed of Suffolk, VA; her mother-in-law Bonita Knight of Irving, Texas; her father-in-law Bill Beard, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
