Dorothy Nell (Dawson) White

Dorothy Nell White was born December 21, 1937 to Bill and Edna Dawson in Dallas, Texas.  She died, Saturday, August 4, 2018. 

In 1972, she accepted Christ and united with Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.  In 1978, she united and became a member of the Word of Faith Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher.  She was also a part of the Mission Dept, nursing board and Sunday school teacher.   She later, after her health began to fail, united with Denton Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, under the leadership of her son, Rev. Dwight White and where she taught Sunday school.   

She was preceded in death by a son Eric, granddaughter Iesha, her parents, a sister Patricia Dawson, one brother James Dawson.

She is survived by two sons Kenneth White and Dwight White; two daughters Ilita Renee White Harris, Nedra White Brown both of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; five sisters Inez Keeling, Billie Jean Merritt both of Dallas, Texas, Ruth Wallace and Jackie Dawson both of Arizona, Helen Pennie of Grand Prairie, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
