I.C. Thursby Jr. was born September 15, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant Texas to I.C. Thursby Sr. and Aresser (Reed) Thursby. He died, Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Mr.Thursby was employed for 45 years at Glover’s Feed Mill in Mt.Pleasant Texas and later retired. He was an avid fishermen and love spending time with his family, watching sports, enjoying laughing, and listening to music. Mr. Thursby was a faithful member of Unity Church for 10 years and loved his church where he served as a deacon and was honored as the oldest member of his congregation.
He had a passionate love for nature and enjoyed solving word puzzles, watching western movies, playing dominos, wheel of fortune and family feud. He was loved by many, especially his grandchildren and very spoiled. All it took is one time to meet him and the rest was history. His charm and smile enlighten any given moment with a heart of gold.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 38 years, Mary Frances Chism Thursby, his parents I.C. Thursby Sr & Aresser Thursby, his sister Bertha Thursby and brothers Calvin Thursby & J. T. Thursby.
He leaves to cherish his memories five daughters, Victoria Chism of Desoto, Tx, Latureena Bryson of Pearland, TX, Charlotte Miller of Longview, TX, Elaine Thursby of Mt Pleasant, TX and Loriann Cummings of Longview TX, and a very special bond in his life (son) Danny Bryson Sr. of Longview, TX. Two sisters, Ruthie Jeffery and Mary Glover of Mount Pleasant, TX. His sister-in-laws Linda Roberson (Jerry) of Dallas, TX, Betty Young (Ezzard) of Waxahachie, TX, Gladys Chism of Mt. Pleasant, TX and brother-in-laws Melvin Chism (Pam) of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Chief Chism Jr. (Ruby) of Dallas, TX. Nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
