James Campbell

Funeral Service for Mr. Campbell, 80, a resident of Omaha, Texas will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at the Omaha First Baptist Church, Omaha, Texas where Rev. Artis Jackson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bell Haven Cemetery, Omaha, Texas under the direction of Tumey Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Campbell died Sunday, November 26, 2017.  

He was born in Bessemer, Alabama on October 5, 1937 to James and Susie (Dancy) Campbell.   James was a member of the Omaha First Baptist Church, Omaha.   He retired from Lone Star Steel Company after 30 years of service.  After retirement, he worked for Titus Regional Medical Center and Mt. Pleasant Junior High as a Janitor.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his grandmother Rosie Lee Dancy; his first wife Beatrice Campbell; two sons James Campbell, Jr. and Phillip Campbell.

He is survived by his wife Lottie Campbell of Omaha, Texas; two sons Chester Campbell of Oklahoma, Fred Cooks of Omaha, Texas; three daughters Tina Campbell of Mansfield, LA, Letha Campbell of Shreveport, LA, Jacqueline Cannon of El Paso, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; one sister, seven brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
