Jesse Lee Ellis (better known as Big Cheese), was born December 5, 1956 in San
Bernardino California to Elizabeth and Jesse Ellis. He passed away, Monday, April
22, 2019 in Tyler, Texas
Jesse graduated from San Gorgonio High School, San Bernardino, California in
1975. He was a veteran who served in the army. He met his wife Sharon Haley-
Ellis and married her on November 30, 2002 and had five children. Jesse loved
fishing, playing bingo, camping and playing cards. He was an all-around good,
hard working man that always kept a smile on his face and loved to cook.
He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Ellis; brother Richard Ellis and sister
Velma Ellis.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Sharon Haley-Ellis. Five children,
Keynan Ellis, Demond Haley, Shar’Keitha Fields, Keith Fields, Jr. and Sade Haley
all of Mount Pleasant, Texas. His mother Elizabeth Ellis of Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Sisters Debra Ellis, Lizzy Ellis and Wanda Ellis (Wayne Minter); brother in law
James Wilkerson (La’Quita); sisters-in-laws Rena Wright and Teresa Haley all of
Mount Pleasant, Texas. Mother-in-law Geraldine Haley of Mount Pleasant, Texas
and father-in-law Henry Haley, Sr. of Shreveport, Louisiana. Uncle Floyd Thomas
of Rialto, California. Five grandchildren Charkenan Ellis, Drea’keith Jeffery,
Randiunna Jeffery, Liberti Fields and Saniah Fields; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and friends.
