LaShan Dee Rodgers

LaShan Dee Rodgers was born March 28, 1970 in Mt. Pleasant, to the parentage of Carolyn Wilkerson and stepfather T.C. Wilkerson, Sr.  She worked many years at the Villas as a CNA.  She died, at home, on Thursday, November 22, 2018.

She was a 1988 graduate M.P.H.S., Mt. Pleasant.  In 1989, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark Howard, and to this union five children were born.  Shan was a great mother to her children and loved them dearly.  She loved shopping and doing crafts.  She was a Certified Nurses Aide and worked many years at the Villa’s Nursing Home until her health failed.  She then became a stay at home mother and grandmother. 

 She was preceded in death by her stepfather T.C. Wilkerson, Sr.  and her grandparents, Leamond and Bessie Rodgers.

She leaves to cherish her memories  her children Latondra Howard, Nabrea Howard, Koshianna Howard, Kania Howard all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Taylor Rodgers of Dallas, Texas; one son Taboris Howard of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; five grandchildren Tionna Byrd, Thor Counce, Rashard Howard, Marissa Howard, Katherine Counce all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her mother Carolyn Wilkerson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sisters Laketra Gilstrap (Dequalan) of Daingerfield, Texas, Linda K. Richardson (Archie) of Arlington, Texas;  brothers Tyrone Wilkerson (Gretchen) of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, TC Wilkerson (Monique) of Lone Star,Texas; special friend Roy Perkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
