Mary Frances Williams
(Aunt Mae)
She was born to Lee and Cornelia (Scott) Wilkerson on March 18, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant. Mary Frances found peace in the embrace of our Heavenly Father on June 2, 2018 at home with her family in Dallas, Texas.
She married Earl Williams on November 26, 1938 and to this union one son was conceived and died at birth.
Mary Frances, fondly known to many as “Aunt Mae”, served faithfully and for many years as a member of the First Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant, until her health began to fail. While there, she displayed her many gifts as pianist, choir president, youth and children Leader for over 70 years. She was the President and organizer of the Mothers Board, during which she originally organized the Women’s Day program. She was the District pianist in Longview and Texarkana. She was an usher and worked in any department and capacity that was needed. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lee and Cornelia Wilkerson, her husband Earl Williams; three brothers, Jimmie Wilkerson, John Wilkerson and Willie Ray Wilkerson; five sisters Lucille Jenkins, Lillian Rogers, Jessie B. Hardaway, Zelma Carter and Bobbie Jo Asberry.
Mary Frances leaves, to cherish her memories, her three brothers Billy Wilkerson, Warner Wilkerson and Preston Wilkerson (Essie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
