(Jr. Boy)
Rollie Owens, Jr. was born June 2, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Rollie and Ruby Mae (Anderson) Owens. He passed away, peacefully, at home on Tuesday, December 23, 2019.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School, Mt. Pleasant. He got baptized in Los Angeles, California at the Revelations Church where he attended every Sunday. Jr. Boy moved back to Mt. Pleasant in 1999 and became a member of the Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church where he assisted the deacons and sang in the choir. His favorite song was “Precious Lord”. He loved to sing in the shower and made up a song “When My Day is Done” and mixed it with “Precious Lord”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Ruby, his brother Charles Edward Anderson.
Jr. Boy leaves to cherish his memories, his children and their spouses Tonny Payne, Telesa and John Morgan all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Felecia Owens, Darneshia Brumsey both of Pittsburg, Texas; Crystal and Enrique Guereca of Mt. Pleasant; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law Winford D. and Helen Owens, two sisters and one brother-in-law Virginia Anderson, Sandra Carol (Owens) and Jimmy Fleming, all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; special friends Brenda Brumsey, Bonnie McLeroy, Doris Dudley and Ella Elliott; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
