Shirley Jean (Traylor) Beard

Shirley Jean Traylor Beard, was born October 2, 1941 in Cason, to the late Earma Mae Ross-Traylor and Henry Lee Peters, Sr. Shirley later moved to Mt. Pleasant and was raised by Alexander Traylor. She died, peacefully, at home on Friday, November 16, 2018.

She was a 1960 graduate Booker T. Washington High School, Mt. Pleasant and met and married Rev. Bill Anderson Beard, Sr. She was a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant. She worked many years as a Nurse’s Aide at Golden Years Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grand daughter-in-law Angelica Beard.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children Tanyel (Robert) Williams, Bill A. Beard, Jr. all of Daingerfield; She-Ron (Damien) DeLoach of Longview; her grandchildren Anterius D. Beard, Sr., Jessica D. Williams, Audrianna M. Williams, Jalisa B. Beard, Triston Pippins, Orlando Hampton; five great grandchildren; Margie (Herbert) Coats, Dallas, Henry Peters, Bobby (Maude) Peters all of Cason, Billy Charles Peters, Longview, Eva N. Abron of Dallas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. .
