Bill Beard Jr. Obituary

Obituary

Bill Anderson Beard, Jr., affectionately known as “Bill Jr.,” was born on December 15, 1969, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to Rev. Bill Anderson Beard, Sr. and Shirley (Traylor) Beard.

A proud graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1988, Bill carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. He was employed with several companies over the years, including Pilgrim’s Pride, Lone Star Steel/U.S. Steel, and Texas Tubular, where he faithfully worked until his health declined. In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys and spending time with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his son, Triston Pippins; his parents, Rev. Bill A. Beard, Sr. and Shirley Beard; and his daughter-in-law, Angelica Beard.

Bill leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Terry Beard (Carmen) of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Jalisa Simmons (Mason) of Longview, Texas; his cherished grandchildren: Anterius Beard, Jr., Paris Beard, Terrelle Beard, Terrence Beard, Russel Beard, Bryan Simmons, Chase Simmons, and Myles Simmons; and his treasured great-granddaughter, Avencia Raine Beard. He is also survived by his sisters, Tanyel Williams (Robert) of Daingerfield, Texas, and She-Ron DeLoach (Damien) of Longview, Texas; his brother, Corey Shaw of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; his aunts, Eva N. Abron of Dallas, Texas, and Maudie Peters of Cason, Texas; his uncles, Herbert Coats of Dallas, Texas, and Bobby Wayne Peters of Longview, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Bill Jr.’s life was a reflection of quiet strength, enduring love, and unwavering devotion to family. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.
