Billy Earl Morgan was born on February 24, 1959 to Arthur James Morgan and Billie Jean Morgan in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He attended Mount Pleasant High School where he made many lifelong friends. His favorite place of employment of all time was George Batey Logging, where he operated heavy equipment and could hunt and fish during his lunch breaks. Hunting and fishing was a lifestyle for Billy Earl, taught to him by his father, Mickey Morgan, in the earliest years of his life. By the time he reached six years old, he and his brothers were known for hunting and camping all night in the woods of the White Oak community.
Billy Earl and his wife Lorri Orton have had 28 wonderful years together, raising three beautiful girls. In 2011 he was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was sealed for time and all eternity to Lorri in the Dallas, Texas Temple. He spent the last five years of his life passing his legacy on to his grandson Zaydin Orton, while they spent nearly every day hunting, fishing, working, and riding together.
He is survived by his wife Lorri Orton, his daughters, Alexis Sheeds, Mackenzie Espinosa, and Clara Morgan. His mother Billie Jean Morgan, sisters Johnnie Galloway, Sharon Himes, Katrina Davis (Carl), and Charlotte Brown, brothers Douglas Morgan, Joe Morgan, Bobby (Janette) Morgan, and David Savage, grandchildren Zaydin Orton and Brynlee Orton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Arthur James “Mickey” Morgan, his brother James Morgan, his brother Perry Morgan, and his daughter Mary Casteneda.
