Bobbie Sue (Rodgers) Goodlow

She was born October 10, 1948 in Cason, Texas to Leamond and Bessie (Searcy) Rodgers. Bobbie Sue died Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant.

Bobbie spent the early years of her life in Cason, Texas.   She was a member of the Mt. Gilmore Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, where she was a member of the choir.  She spent many years in Barstow, CA where she was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church and where she was one of the lead singers in the choir.  She moved back to Texas after many years in Barstow. She was a graduate of JJ Rhoads High School, Daingerfield.  Before retiring, she worked many years for Pilgrim Pride.

Bobbie was a loving mother to all her children and grandchildren. She possessed grace and humility and loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. She will be remembered for the quiet dignity that she displayed, a zest for life, and the love and wisdom she shared with others.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Rodgers, father, Leamond Rodgers, one granddaughter Kiyanna Turner, two brothers, Melvin Joe Rodgers and Bubba Rodgers; four sisters,  Della Okra, Bonnie Todd, Clara Jefferson, Vernice Ellis; sister-in-law Mary Ann Rodgers.

Bobbie leaves a full and rich family to cherish her memory and continue a legacy of love: son Mario Goodlow of Barstow, CA; six daughters and three sons-in-law Tracy and Juan Lane of Columbus, GA, Lakesia and Elywin Evans, Rhonda Goodlow all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Shemelia Goodlow and Shalindra Goodlow both of Columbus, GA, Dana and Donald Jones of Las Vegas, NV; she will be forever loved and treasured by her 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her life legacy will continue to be celebrated by her sister Carolyn Wilkerson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her brothers and two sisters-in-law Thomas Rodgers, Billy and Cherry Rodgers, Charles and Irene Rodgers all of Daingerfield, Texas, Jake and Wanda Rodgers of Barstow, CA;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
