LIFE REFLECTIONS

Charles Floyd Johnson was born November 30, 1952 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to the proud parents Ralph Charles and Floydie Mae Johnson. At an early age, Charles became a member of the Sunset Baptist Church. He received his education through the Booker T. Washington School, Mt. Pleasant. After integration, Charles graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1971. Charles was an Electrician having worked many years for Pilgrim’s Pride and Luminant before becoming self- employed. Growing up, Charles and his siblings had to play together and weren’t allowed to go places. He won all the fights but got extra whippings. He was a lover of music, especially George Clinton. By being raised in the 1950’s and 60’s he would get together with his brothers and sing. Their group name was “The Brothers Johnson”. Charles was a self-proclaimed comedian. He could take your joke and make it better. He had the gift of expressions. Everyone that knew Charles, loved him and knew what to expect from him. He was greatly loved by his family and will be missed. Preceding him in death was his parents, a sister Joy Darlene Woodfork and brother Jerry Dan Baker.
