Clara Mae Johnson was born in Morris County to the parents of late Birdis Charles (B.C.) Rivers and Sallie Franklin Rivers on January 22, 1929.
She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She worked at Pilgrim's Pride until she reached the age of retirement.
She was well known in the community as a fun loving aunt who always had a kind word, something funny to say and some food/ soda to share.
She was proceded in death by her husband Cisceroe Johnson, her parents B.C. and Sallie Rivers, one son Dennis L. Johnson, one daughter Mary Joyce Gordon, 9 sisters Luck Woodson, Essie Todd, Icclair Walker, Bonnie Robertson, Nina Williams, Inez Rivers, Truella Johnson, Lorene Hayes and Hattie Rockwell.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons Joe Rivers (Myrtle Sue) of Grand Prairie, Stanley Johnson of Omaha; three daughters Mary Jewell McGill of Omaha, Linda Kellum (Bobby) of Houston, Sheila Evans (Larry) of Pittsburg; one sister Bertha Brown of Omaha, one brother-in-law Ed Johnson of Omaha; Eight grandchildren, Reginald Brown, Joe Rivers Jr, Jeremie Rivers, Bobby Kellum Jr, Chasity McKinney, D'Nyia Johnson, Charlene Johnson, and Taylor Johnson; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
