Cynthia Carol Elliott was born December 21, 1955 in Talco, Texas to Charles Henry and Dimple (Savage) Hines. She passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
She was a 1972 graduate of Rivercrest High School, Bogata, where she was the first black varsity cheerleader. Cynthia was a member of the Greater Hope Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant and Extra Ordinary Miracles Church of God in Christ, Talco. Cynthia loved to walk and play basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Dennis Hines and Melvin Hines, her nephew Kevin M. Hines.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her three sisters and brother-in-law Shirley Caruthers and Margaret Hines both of Talco, Texas; Donna and John Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; four brothers and sister-in-law Charles and Mary Hines of Fulbright, Texas, Elvin Hines and David Scott Hines both of Talco, Texas, Elder John Hines of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; nephews Sydney Hines, Kyle Hines, Keith Hines, Jonathan Johnson Jr.; nieces Kristi Hines, Karen Caruthers, Charla Hines Wooden; Aunts Grady Savage of Commerce, Texas; Linda (Elder Troy M.) Brown of Talco, Texas; Lola Hines of Ft. Worth, Texas; uncles Morris (Jeanetta) Brown of Amarillo, Texas; Willie (Danis) Savage of Arkansas; Jimmy Curtis of Louisiana; very special friend Guy Johnson; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
