Dorris Lee (Craddock) Williams was born February 23, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Wylie and Lena (Norman) Craddock. She passed away, peacefully, on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Dorris was a member of the Piney Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant. She loved to travel and loved cooking, especially baking pies with her granddaughter Mia. Dorris was a homemaker and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She made sure that they were completely taken care of. Dorris also had a servant’s heart. She would oftentimes take care of anyone she knew that had a need. She would serve them by cooking meals and attending to whatever need they might have.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lorece Williams, her sons Harry Williams, Edward L. Williams and Lorece Williams, Jr.; her daughter Dorris Mae Roquemore, her granddaughter Alicia Brown, her brothers Wylie Craddock, Jr., Jimmy Dean Craddock, sister Nancy Eaton, son-in-law David Peeples, daughter-in-law Hazel Ann Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son and daughter-in-law Lawrence, I and Sylvia Williams of Bakersfield, CA; daughter Marlo Peeples of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; daughters-in-law Kelly Williams of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Anita Williams of Madera, CA; 16 grandchildren Eric Roquemore, Bryan Roquemore, Rochelle Roquemore, Edward Williams, II, Ana Ruggles, Breanna Williams, Marcy Scudder, Traci Williams, Sha’Nika A. Williams, Sharece Williams, Tamara Roberts, Deanna Williams, Lorena Black, Lawrence Williams, II, Daniel V. Williams, Mia’Lissa Peeples; 41 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
