Elnora (Johnson) Brown

Elnora (Johnson) Brown was born October 9, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Wright Patman and Mary Jo (Evans) Johnson.    She passed away, Tuesday June 16, 2020 in Tyler, Texas.

Elnora was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1978 and was a member of the St. Matthew House of Worship.  She worked for Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation and retired after 36 years of service.  She then went on to work for US Steel and worked there for 4 years.  After her layoff at US Steel, she studied Culinary Arts at Northeast Texas Community College where she received her certificate and was called “Chef Brown”.  She loved cooking and baking, time spent with her family, and fishing. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband of 43 years Rayford L. Brown Sr., of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her two sons and daughters-in-law Ray Brown Jr. (Shaun) of Texarkana, Texas, Joe Brown (Aronia) of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her two daughters and son-in-law April Williams (Dedrick) of Longview, Texas, Cash Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
