A Life Remembered
John Lee Norman Sr. (Johnny) was born August 31, 1953, in Dallas, Texas to Roy and Ruby Lorraine Norman.
Johnny attended Mt. Pleasant High School and Job Corp. in San Marcus, Texas. After Job Corp., he worked at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store as a Butcher. In 1972, he joined the United States Marines. After leaving the Marines in 1976, with an honorable discharge, he joined the National Guards and worked for Red River Army Depot. He later worked for Rod Simpson Landscaping. In 1994, he made his residency in Los Angeles, California. Johnny united in only one marriage to Bertha Hudson and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brother Calvin Norman and Eddie James Norman, two sisters Lillie Norman Gilleam and Rosemary Norman Hernandez.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his one daughter Shundra Norman of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one son John Lee Norman Jr.; 7 grandchildren D’Terrian Johnson (Teddy), Apiphanie Johnson, Terrick Johnson Jr., (T.J.), Autiuana Johnson all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Genesis Norman, Halle Norman, Tru Norman of Chapel Hill; two great grandchildren A’London Thomas of Mt. Pleasant and Asher Lennox of Chapel Hill; five sisters Georgia Norman Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Vanessa Norman of Las Vegas, NM, Janice Teycer of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Debbie Norman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Darla Norman Black (Cecil) of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Sarah Norman Garrett of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
