Johnny Allen Newsom was born March 29, 1949 in Clarksville, Texas to Johnnie R. and Leoda M. (Whitt) Newsom. He passed away, peacefully, on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Johnny was a veteran of the United States Army and was a former Truck Driver where he was the Owner/Operator.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother Gary Newsom.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Penny Newsom of Baytown, Texas; his two daughters Monica Ayala of Baytown, Texas, Maureen Newsom of Nova Scotia, Canada; three sons Matt Newsom of Madison, Wisconsin; Johnny Newsom of Okinawa, Japan, Chris Johnston of Danbury, Texas; 10 grandchildren; brother Joe Newsom of Daingerfield, Texas; sister Janelle Hudgins of Grandbury, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
