Larry Williams Obituary

On January 30,1954 in Pittsburg, Texas, Larry Delorn Williams was born to  the parentage of H.C. and Osia Mae Williams.  I’m sure they were ecstatic to receive the gift of their second born son. At an early age Larry became a member of Omaha First Baptist Church. In Omaha, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Williams understood the need for their children to understand who God is, to understand their value as human beings. And to understand to face their fears, and to understand that managing money is a necessary part of this earthy life.

Larry attended George Washington Carver and Paul H. Pewitt High Schools. He graduated with the class of 1972.  He joined the Military branch of the army in 1975 and served until 1978. He attended Texarkana College from 1977-1978 earning a degree in industrial electronics/industrial electrical technician. Larry was employed with US Army Corp of Engineers, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Red River Army Depot, Hooks, Texas; U S Steel, Lone Star, Texas.

In 1975 Larry and Rosa Mae Williams joined in holy matrimony and to this union two daughters were born Yolanda Williams and Shemeca Williams.  In 1992 Larry and Georgia Williams united in holy matrimony.

Larry’s parents H.C. and Osia Mae Williams, one brother Donal Williams departed this earthly realm before him.

Left to mourn and cherish the memories of those who Larry loved and who loved him, his wife Georgia R. Williams, his seven children,  three sons Robert (Garnett) Johnson of Hallsville, Texas, Reginal (Melissa)  Bonner of Longview, Texas,  Christopher (Shametria)  Hunt of Dallas, Texas;  two daughters Yolanda Williams and Shemeca Williams both of Wiley, Texas;  two step-sons, Charles (Michelle) Greene of Tyler, Texas  and Kendrick Greene of Omaha, Texas;  eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Gary Williams of Houston, Texas, Gregory Williams and Kim Williams both of Omaha,Texas; one sister Vicki (Charles) Berry of Omaha, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
