Lillian Ruth (Minter) Rape

Lillian Ruth Minter Rape was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas on August 21, 1935 to Claxton and Era (Brooks) Minter.   She passed away December 22, 2022.

Lillian attended Booker T. Washington High School and was a member of Piney Creek Baptist Church where in her earlier years she sang in the choir. Before retiring, she has worked for Holiday Inn, Pilgrim’s Pride and Jordan Health.  She lived in Bogata for seven years before moving to Piney.  She united in holy matrimony to John A. Rape when she was 18 years old.  They were married for 64 years before he passed in 2020.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings. 

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons and daughters-in-law Kevin and Cheryl Rape, Clayton and Bridget Rape, all of Mt. Pleasant; four daughters and sons-in-law Diane Hill of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Alberta and Jerry Yarber of Tyler, Texas, Verna and Charles of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
