Martha Raye Brown

Martha Raye Brown was born June 27, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant Texas to O.D. and Maretta (Hatcher) Brown. 

Martha was a member at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, serving in various positions.  She was a member of the choir, served as an usher, served in the hospitality department and the food committee.  Martha graduated from Booker T. Washington Class of 1959 where she served as the class chaplain. In her earlier years she was employed at Golden Years Nursing Home and Geras Nursing Home, the Meat Locker Plant, the Sewing Factory, the Bread Store.  Martha was employed for many years at Titus Regional Medical Center in the Janitorial Dept. and the Cafeteria before retiring. 

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, five brothers and five sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Kathie Brown Drennon of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her son Michael Brown of Nash, Texas; five grandchildren Carnisha Brown, Michael Cheatum, Adrain Brown, Sansherie Drennon, Nayesha Brown; one great grandchild Noah Cheatum and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
