Mary Catherine Smith

Mary Catherine Smith was born May 2, 1932 to Emerson and Lee Ethel Smith in Mount Pleasant, Texas and entered into eternal life on May 26, 2022.

She confessed Christ at an early age.  She graduated from Booker T. Washington, Mt. Pleasant and Texas College in Tyler, Texas.

In 1951, she married Frank Smith.  Mary was an educator for Mount Pleasant Independent School District for 26 years.  She was fondly known to all who loved her as "Tootsie".

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters and son-in-law, Beverly A. Smith of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Darphenia and Tony Evans of Grand Prairie, Texas;  granddaughters, Temeka Blake of Corinth, Texas, Chevonte and James Marshall of Arlington, Texas and Courtney Evans of Venus, Texas;  six great grandchildren Derriere, Destiny, Ariana, Aniyah, Darrion and Chelsea; special cousin Jody Davis; special nephew Tommy Smith;  special daughter Nora Evans; special friend Helen Evans and a host of other loving relatives.
