Obituary

Matsey Traylor, Jr. was born on September 2, 1929 to Matsey Traylor, Sr. and Willie Godbolt-Traylor in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. At an early age he joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church. After Matsey graduated from Booker T. Washington, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force. Matsey achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and retired after 20 years of service. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he worked and retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Boston, MA and made Boston, MA his home until he received his wings. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed time with his family, friends and loved ones. With the many miles of distance between him and his family, he always kept in close contact. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and family that loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Matsey and Willie Traylor, four sisters, Jewel Traylor, Willie Mae Traylor, Ophelia Traylor-Spencer and Gladys Traylor-Giulian, four brothers, one infant brother, James Traylor, Dewey Traylor, Sr. and Harold Dean Traylor.
