Mattie Jo (Rundles) Johnson

Obituary

Mattie Jo Rundles Johnson was born March 28, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Morris Hurndon and Margie Marie Rundles.  

She was a member of the St. Matthew House of Worship, Mt. Pleasant, where she was president of Mission.  She served as Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Queen Esther Court #4.  Mattie loved children and was a babysitter of numerous children throughout the community.  She was a former CNA/Healthcare worker for Jordan Health. In her past time, she loved going fishing and loved watching her sons play football.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers Wilbert Ray Rundles and Max Tracy Hurndon. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband George E. Johnson Sr.; two sons and a daughter-in-law George E. Johnson, Jr., Joe Morris and Teresa Johnson of Rancho Rio, NM;   six  grandchildren,  two great grandchildren; her brother and two sisters-in-law Refus and Angelia Rundles of Mansfield, Texas, Nona Rundles of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law Beverly and John Hargrave of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; two aunts Helen Evans and Julia Lewis both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Isia and Curtis Murphy of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; special daughter Audra Evans of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
