Ocie Lee (Evans) Edwards

Ocie Lee Edwards, was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas on August 9, 1930 to William and Sluane (Hayes) Evans.  

She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant.  She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and loved quilting.  She also loved music, cooking and outdoor gardening. 

 She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband John Edwards, son Gary Edwards, stepson Sam Edwards, stepdaughter Barbara Harper, grandchildren Charles Edwards, Cynthia Harper-Johnson, Marshall Thomas, Jr.; numerous siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children Caron Edwards, Ronnie Edwards and Sarah Thomas all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Edna Rembert of Dallas, Texas; stepdaughters Patricia Hodge of Dallas, Texas and Linda Brown of Seattle, WA; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; brothers Tom Evans (Linda) of Naples, Texas, Henry Evans (Gloria) of Redwater, Texas, William Evans (Essie) of Mesquite, Texas; sisters Willie Mae Buckingham of Garland, Texas, Martha Jones of Naples, Texas; special friend Benita Turner of Alaska; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
