Oscar Clabor Williams, III
Oscar was born September 16, 1950 in Dennison, Texas to Oscar Clabor, II and Elizabeth Williams. Oscar died, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
As a 1968 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, Texas, Oscar continued his love for learning; obtaining an Associate Degree from NTCC in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He married the love of his life, Thelma Lee Harris on December 23, 1970. To this union, 9 children were born. He worked for SWEPCO, Dorchester Refinery and retired from TXU, helping to form the first cross pit, where he retired after many years of service. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he has served in many capacities. He was a trustee, usher, sung in the choir, in charge of the sound room, security, maintenance and bus driver. He loved riding his motorcycle.
Oscar was a loving father to all his children and grandchildren. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He will be remembered for his zest for life, and the love and wisdom he shared with others.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Lee Williams, his son Sandy Williams, his father and mother Oscar C. II and Elizabeth Williams; brothers, Thomas Wilson and David Williams; one sister Joann Wilson.
Oscar leaves a full and rich family to cherish his memory and continue a legacy of love and service his sons and daughter-in-law Oscar C. IV and Sayaka Williams of North Hollywood, CA; Christopher Williams of Coppell, Texas; six daughters Latunya Williams-Traylor of Coppell, Texas, April Smith of Cedar Hill, Texas; Vickiesha Williams, Elizabeth Williams and Natalie Williams of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Latosha Williams of Scroggins, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; one brother Arnold Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
