Rayfus Lamar "Red" Hurndon

Rayfus Lamar Hurndon was born November 26, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Goree Hardge and Claudia Faye Hurndon.    He passed away, Friday, June 26, 2020 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

Red, as he was fondly known, was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1977.  He worked as a Supervisor for Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation and retired after 40 years of service. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Letha Hurndon and Dorothy Faye Hurndon.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of 26 years LaShelle Hurndon; his son Braylon Hurndon both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; five sisters and three brothers-in-law  Barbara Cannon, Dorothy Hurndon, Anita and Ralph Crabtree, all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; Billie Ruth and Floyd Hollis of Daingerfield, Texas, Glenda and Dylan McCarty of Dallas, Texas; four brothers and a sister-in-law Larry Hurndon, Terry Hurndon, Vincent and Paula Hurndon, Rickey Charles Hurndon all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; numerous other siblings, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
