Waola Marie Turner, was born in Naples, Texas, on May 27, 1935, to the parents of T.C. and Lola (Jackson) Cobb. Waola, died peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2018 in Mansfield, Texas.
Waola Marie graduated from Carver High School, Naples, Texas. In her early years, she was a member of Norris S. Curry CME Church. She later joined the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church, Naples, where she served faithfully until her health began to fail. While there, she was the Director of the Usher Board, a member of the Hospitality team, the President of the Missionary Society and “the Mother” of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years Clifford J. Turner, Jr.; her son Jeffery Neal Turner; her daughters Mary Lane Talton and Donna Annette Hood; her sister Margie Hardiman.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her two sons Richard Darrell (Jeanette) Turner of Menifee, California, Clifford Keith Turner of Mesquite, Texas; her two daughters Deborah Yvonne Boyd of Omaha, Texas and Dujuana Jean Turner of Arlington, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her uncle Leroy Jackson of Oakland, CA; her aunt Katherine Bowles of Naples, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
