William Wilson Barrett

William Wilson Barrett was born in Mt. Vernon, Texas on October 22, 1942 to Fletcher and Dolly (Rutherford) Barrett.  He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School Mt. Pleasant, Texas Class of 1961.  He was a member of Sunset Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant where he served as a deacon.  He worked as a machine operator for the Cotton Belt Railroad and retired after 37 years of service.  William loved fishing and football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna Jo Barrett; his daughter Tera Barrett and Toni Harris, brother Richard Barrett, special friend Kathy Johnson. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his children Rena Douglas (Kenneth), Anthony Barrett (Willie Mae), Mattie Traylor, Ted Connally, Beverly Grundy, Lashandra Hargrave (Billy), Stacey Nixon (Brian), Tracy Craig (Telesa) all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Terry Connally (Elsa) of Florida, Joanie Hudson (Hughey) of Cleburne, Texas;  Tycorious Hurndon and Keterian Traylor both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 24 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Linda Barrett of Mt. Vernon; family friend Jennifer Brownlee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
