Obituary

Wilma Jean Lawton was born February 11, 1929 in Omaha, Texas to Lonnie A. and Annie Mae (Holloman) Jones.

 

Wilma was a Christian.  She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington Class of 1946. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.  She also loved people and having family gatherings at her house.  She was a people person.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, her husband Albert Lawton, three brothers and eight sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters and a son-in-law Angelia Smith, Phyllis and Travis Wilkerson; her son Reginald Lawton all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; five grandchildren Tarsha Lawton, Dedrick Wilkerson, Travis Wilkerson, Jr., William Smith II, Regina Patton; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
