Stanley Craig Pope, 47, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 in Tyler, Texas.  He was born February 20, 1968 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Oscar Lee and Mable (Trammell) Pope. 

He attended Mt. Vernon Public Schools, Mt. Vernon, Texas  and was a member of the Denton Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon.  Stan was a very special person with a great heart, mind and personality.  He was one of a kind.  His disability did not interfere with his amazing sense of humor and telling you what was on his mind or what he wanted.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar L. Pope, his grandparents Leslie and Seresta Trammell, two aunts Christine McGill and Alene Traylor, one uncle Orea Trammell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Mable Pope of Mt. Vernon, Texas; his aunt Merita Trammell of Marshall, Texas and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
